Sabrina Franzheim, formerly of Chateau Robert Inc., New York, is a successful accessories and ready-to-wear clothing designer. From 1998-2001 she designed in her Madison Avenue showroom and catered to stores such as Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom. Her past collections were always inspired by Asian textiles; from one-of-a-kind collectible pieces accented with Swarovski crystals and vintage trims to limited edition coats made from hand loomed silk brocades and wools. In early 2002, she closed her Manhattan atelier to begin a new life and career in South East Asia. Her new company is called beach lounge spa and her new home base is now Singapore.

Always inspired by her travels to distant lands and her years living on and off in Asia, Sabrina has decided to take her love of the tropics to a new level by announcing the launch of her Resort Collection. The clothing ranges from sun-bleached tunics, Japanese inspired sarongs and kimonos, sultry dresses, casual capris, hippie skirts and cotton bikinis for women. For men, she has created comfortable embroidered tops, loose-fit pants and board shorts. The collection can be worn in city and resort areas, from sightseeing excursions, long distance travel to beach cover-ups.

Her Bamboo Collection for Pilates and the Eastern Arts was inspired by her weekly kung fu and tai-chi lessons. Her goal was to try to find a natural fabric that breathes, is cooling and also has a wonderful feel. The Bamboo Collection can be worn for yoga, Pilates, tai-chi and other activities. The clothing encourages movement; perfect for morning asanas and drapes like jersey. The Bamboo Collection is ideally suited for travel and loungewear, making it as diverse as it is unique.

In addition, Sabrina’s company beach lounge spa collaborates with luxury hotel groups to create private label, unique clothing and accessory collections. Her creations are chic, timeless and well made and already has a formidable global following. Her company also creates highly stylized and unique uniform collections for luxury hotels, spas and groups.
